Our story

WulfPack Boxing is built on more than just a love for boxing, it’s built on people, purpose, and legacy.

Formerly Eastside Boxing, the gym was established in 2017 by Mike Wulf, who spent years building a tight-knit community with the support of volunteers, parents, and young athletes. What started as a humble garage gym has grown into something much bigger, now proudly based at the Grassroots Trust Velodrome Arena in Cambridge.

In January 2025, Tee walked through the doors and immediately felt like she had found her home.  With over 20 years of experience across training, competing, and coaching, Tee brought a depth of knowledge, structure, and leadership that naturally complemented what Mike had already built.

By January 2026, Mike and Tee formalised their partnership, both in business and in life.  From that point, the gym evolved into what is now WulfPack Boxing.

The name Wulf carries its own legacy.  Rooted in Mike’s German-Samoan heritage, with family connections to Auala in Savai’i, it reflects a strong lineage in boxing.  Mike shares whakapapa with accomplished fighters including Maselino Masoe and Eddie Wulf – a legacy that continues to shape the values and direction of the gym today.

Together, Mike and Tee bring a balance that defines WulfPack.  Mike is the heart and the energy – passionate, unfiltered, and deeply committed to his people.  Tee brings structure, discipline, and a steady presence – leading with strength, care, and honesty.  What they share is a deep belief in the power of boxing to change lives.

Their relationship grew through the gym, grounded in a shared passion for the sport and a commitment to supporting others to succeed.  WulfPack Boxing exists to create opportunities, remove barriers, and build a space where people can grow, belong, and thrive.

From garage beginnings to a growing community, WulfPack is more than a gym, it’s a whānau.

 FAQs

  • Not at all. Our trainings are designed for all levels, from complete beginners through to experienced athletes. At WULFPACK, we’re built on Whānau, Unity, Loyalty, and Fortitude - meaning you’ll be welcomed into a supportive environment where everyone trains together and grows together from day one.

  • Bring a water bottle, comfortable training clothes, and a good attitude. We’ll guide you with any gear you need. Our focus on Whānau and Unity means you’ll never feel out of place - we look after each other.

When you decide that you’ve found your people with us here at WULFPACK, then we can support you to purchase your own hand wraps, gloves and skipping rope.

  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time to wrap your hands and get ready. Showing up prepared is part of the discipline we build through Fortitude, and it helps keep sessions running smoothly for everyone.

  • Āe, Yes - members can attend one or multiple trainings per week. No matter how often you train, you’re part of the WULFPACK Whānau.

  • Our CUBS class is designed for young athletes and provides a safe, supportive, and structured environment for children to learn and grow. We focus on building respect, confidence, discipline, and skills in a way that is age-appropriate and positive.

If your child is under 7 and you believe they have the discipline to participate, contact Tee for a kōrero.

At WULFPACK, we prioritise Whānau, Unity, Loyalty, and Fortitude - creating a space where young people feel supported, included, and encouraged to build resilience and confidence from an early age.

  • Sessions include boxing technique, pad work, conditioning, and fitness training, all tailored to your level. We train together with Unity, support each other like Whānau, and build the Fortitude needed to push through challenges.

At WULFPACK, we are committed to creating an environment where everyone has the opportunity to participate and thrive. We actively support whānau, individuals with disabilities, and those who may need extra support to get started and stay engaged, because we believe barriers like cost, confidence, or life circumstances shouldn’t stand in the way of showing up.

This commitment also underpins the development of the WulfPack Boxing Charitable Trust, which will further strengthen our ability to support our community over time.

At WULFPACK, Loyalty means we show up for each other, and Whānau means no one trains alone.

  • Āe, Yes - we offer Lone Wolf Sessions, available as 1:1 or small group training (2–3 athletes). These sessions provide focused coaching while still reflecting the values of Unity and Fortitude.
